I’ve developed Sieben so that I can play live without any backing. I use a loop pedal, a violin, and my voice. I can start with a simple melody, add a bass part or two, some ‘drums’ by playing beats on various parts of the violin (‘kick’ behind the strings, ‘snare’ by slapping the body, and ‘shaker’ by scratching the pickup with my chin etc etc), harmonies and melodies over the top. Over this I can sing and play.

Por cierto, el el Sr. Howden acompañará a Spiritual Front en su actuación del sábado 7 de octubre en Madrid.
Interesante forma de ser creativo. A mí me da en ciertos momentos cuando pienso en alguien o me siento con ganas de tocar algo.

Some years ago when in Portugal Mr. Howden invited me to sing «Northern Lights» with him. It was great, we had met a few years before in Arcana Europa. That brightness streak can’t be obfuscated.
Bueno, en el caso de este caballero se trata de una mezcla entre creatividad y genialidad.

Well, the concerts of Ataraxia and Elijah’s Mantle were the best for me… but I can’t deny that Sol Invictus performance was fantastic.
By the way, Sieben and Spiritual Front will also be in Portugal. Perhaps even nearer for me than Madrid :)
